The Solis Maestro Coffee Grinder actually comes in three different models that each provide a slightly different feature set. The great thing is that all three Solis coffee grinders are very cheap, meaning that there's no reason you can't get your hand on any of them that you desire.
Each of the Solis grinder models has many similarities and has many of the same features, the more advanced versions just tack on a bit more to make them more valuable and feature rich. Solis coffee grinders use conical burr grinding wheels, providing the finest quality and consistency. The Solis Maestro grinder is also very quiet, meaning you can operate your grinder at any time without bothering anyone, including yourself.

All are roughly the same size at approximately 12.5 inches tall, 4.75 inches wide and 6.5 inches long, although the Maestro Plus is a bit taller at 14 inches. All come with a ½ pound bean hopper and come with a grounds catcher that is designed to be airtight to prevent the accumulation of any messes. Additionally, you can easily remove the grounds catcher and hold your espresso filter basket in place to eliminate the need to transfer.
The Solis Maestro Coffee Grinder has 18 different grinding settings, while the Maestro Plus has an astonishing 40. The grinder operates at slow speeds to keep the taste, aroma and texture of the grounds as perfect as possible and all models of the Solis grinder are designed to produce reduced static.
Solis Maestro Classic - The Maestro Classic is the entry level of the Solis grinder but still has all of the features mentioned above. The main difference in this model is that there is no automatic grinding timer and no manual pulsing button. Otherwise, the design elements and features remain largely intact.
Solis Maestro - The Solis Maestro Coffee Grinder has the added bonus of the automatic timer which allows you to not have to watch over the machine, as well as a manual pulsing button, which releases as soon as you let go. This is perfect for when you only need grounds for a small bit of coffee or espresso.
Solis Maestro Plus - The Maestro Plus has 40 different grinding settings and a large range of grinding ability. This means you have even more control over your grounds, and you can have the perfect result for any brewing style or preference. The Maestro Plus is also constructed with different materials, resulting in a sturdier and heavier design, weighing in at about 7 pounds compared to 3.5 pounds for the other models.
The Solis Maestro Coffee Grinder is a solid choice for an entry level conical burr grinder. It has a wide range of grinding settings which are easy to use and has many other appealing features. If you're ready to get into the world of grinding your own coffee, than the Solis coffee grinders are a great first entry. Priced from less than $100 to roughly $150, you'll get a full feature set for a reasonable cost with any Solis grinder.
