You've decided it's time to get a single coffee maker. Maybe you're sick of spending $10 every day on going down and buying a cup of coffee at the store. That kind of money certainly adds up very quickly. Or maybe you just want the convenience of having coffee available at any time from your home or office. Whatever the reason is that you're looking for a single coffee maker, you're in luck. That's because there are endless options from different brands. All serve their own niche quite well, meaning you'll never have to settle for something you don't want.
Varieties of the Single Coffee Maker
Any discussion of a single coffee maker should start with the coffee press. A coffee press allows you to brew up your coffee to your exact liking. Without any mechanical or automatic parts or unnecessary steps, you are guaranteed to extract the maximum amount of great coffee taste in every cup.
Bodum is one of the more popular coffee press makers. They make a wide range of models, all of which are cheap and stylish. The differences between their models mostly consists of their size capacity, what they look like and what they are made from. Most fall in the same price range of just $15 to $30.
Examples include the Bodum Bistro Mug which fits into a mug of your choosing and brews directly into it. The Bodum Shin Bistro and Bodum New Kenya are two 17 ounce coffee press models when you like to chase your first cup with a second cup. All models of Bodum coffee press are beloved by the people who use them.
In addition to the above, there are also many travel coffee makers available. Travel coffee makers brew a cup at a time of coffee into an included travel mug. This makes it very easy to take your coffee on the go, which a lot of us find ourselves doing more and more. Several different brands make solid models like this, none of which cost more than $40.
You'll be able to find a handful of coffee press and travel mug combinations. The Planetary Design Double Shot Travel Mug is a great example of this, costing $25. Planetary Design makes a wide range of other combination models, and the Bodum 16 ounce Travel Coffee Press is also well received.
Of course after all of that, one of the most popular varieties of the single coffee maker is the pod coffee maker. Coffee maker pods offer many different benefits. To begin with they are extremely easy to use. There is no setup, no hassle and virtually no cleanup. You don't need to worry about measuring out your coffee or anything like that. All you have to do is take out a pod, place it in and throw it out afterwards.
Additionally, coffee maker pods have the added flexibility of allowing different people to enjoy the coffee that they prefer, even if nobody else does. This is great for in the office or even around the home when people like assorted flavors and strengths of coffee and other hot beverages.
The most popular coffee maker pods are from Keurig and Tassimo. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Everyone who loves Tassimo raves about how quick their single coffee maker can brew a fresh up, in less than a minute. You'll also be able to get Starbucks coffee made instantly at home.
Keurig on the other hand offers more varieties of coffee and has a wider selection of models in various price ranges. The bottom line with these is that both are unanimously loved by those who use them and you can't really go wrong with either.
Which Single Coffee Maker is For You?
There are certainly plenty of factors to consider. If you're looking for maximum flexibility with minimal effort, coffee maker pods from Keurig or Tassimo are your best bets. If you want to be a bit more involved in the coffee making process and want as little outside or mechanical distortion of taste as possible, a coffee press will do the trick.
